Launch of a survey on protection and enforcement of IPRs in non- EU countries
On 10 March the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), on behalf of the EU Commission (DG Trade), launched a survey of EU businesses and EU IP professionals who have an interest in the protection and enforcement of IPRs in non-EU countries. The survey aims at providing a comprehensive overview on the state of art as well as challenging issues to help improve the IPR enforcement in non-EU countries and provide assistance in preparation for negotiations and discussions with these countries. We encourage you to give your contribution to the survey (available @ https://www.tmdn.org/uss/index.php?sid=64891&lang=en ), which runs until 10 June 2014.

VII International Ka´a He´ẽ – Stevia Symposium
The Paraguayan Chamber of Stevia (CAPASTE), which recently joined oriGIn in representation of the GI Stevia Paraguaya, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce – (REDIEX) announce the VII International Ka´a He´ẽ – Stevia Symposium and the VI International Meeting of the American Stevia Federation – FAS, to be held on 9-10 April 2014, in Asunción (Paraguay). The Symposium will touch upon several GI-related issues from a South American perspective.
