The biannual meeting of oriGIn was held in Treviso (Italy) from 17 to 19 October 2017, organized in cooperation with the “Consorzio di Tutela della Denominazione d’Origine Controllata (DOC) Prosecco”.
In this framework, the Conference “Towards a 2020 Geographical Indications (GIs) International Agenda” took place on 18 October and the field visit to the Prosecco production area on 19 October.
Some 160 delagates from 50 countries participated in the biannual meeting, including several prestigious institutions, among them: the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the European Parliament, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Intellectual Property of Cambodia, the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia (SAKPATENTI), Bird & Bird, Equalitas, the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA), “Consorzio Prosecco, “Interprofession du Gruyère”, “Origen España”, “Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma”, “Comité Interprofessionnel du Comté”, “Consorzio Asiago”, the Bavaria Brewers Association, “Consorzio Aceto Balsamico di Modena”, “Consejo Regulador del Tequila” (CRT), “Consorzio Grana Padano”, the “Association Marocaine de l’Indication Géographique de l’Huile d’Argane” and the “Associazione italiana Città della Ceramica (AiCC).
