Dear member,
Following the 2023 successful edition in Geneva , we invite interested parties within our network to submit their candidatures to host the 2025 oriGIn Biennial Meeting.
Candidatures, to be sent to ida@origin-gi.com no later than 28 June 2024, should include the following information:
a. A brief description of the GI sector in the country and motivations to host the event.
b. Proposed dates. Please consider the structure of our biennial meetings: three days in total, for informal meetings, statutory general assembly, conference and field visits.
c. Preliminary budget, including the expenses which can be covered by the host. Below the main expenditures lines:
- Event venue;
- Transportation from the recommended hotels to the meeting venue (if necessary);
- Simultaneous interpretation (English, French, Spanish);
- Printed material to be distributed to participants (programs, oriGIn reports);
- Meals (lunches, coffee breaks, dinners);
- Field visit(s) to local GI(s) (transportation and lunch).
d. Short description of the field visit to one or more iconic GIs in the country.
The Executive Committee will review the candidatures and announce the final decision by September 2024. The selection criteria are the proposals financial solidity and the Biennial Meeting venue’s geographical rotation.
