On November 30th, at the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of Switzerland’s accession to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications, the Swiss Federal Office of Intellectual Property (IPI) and oriGIn organized an event at WIPO, within the framework of the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP). It had the objective to present the role of GIs in local sustainable development as well as the benefits for small producers deriving by their country’s accession to the Geneva Act.
The event was opened by the Director-General of WIPO, Mr. Daren Tang, and was followed by a cocktail.
