The Tequila Regulatory Council A.C. (CRT) is honored to extend a warm invitation to oriGIn members to celebrate the 30^th Anniversary of the CRT and the 50^th Anniversary of the appellation of origin “Tequila”, in Guadalajara (Mexico), on April 25^th and 26^th, 2024.

The program provides a series of interesting activities, including the international seminar “Developments in Geographical Indications: Latest Trends and Global Challenges”, where international experts will discuss relevant topics for the GI sector:

1. Importance of protection for GIs and DOs in the new regulatory framework of the European Union.
2. The Geneva Act.
3. Sustainability of GI products.
4. The importance of conformity assessment in the development of GIs and DOs.

Additionally, an exhibition of GI products at the prestigious venue of the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce will be organized. A complimentary stand has been reserved for oriGIn members, where you can showcase your products during the days of the seminar. We expect some 400 participants at the seminar, including representatives of the most relevant Mexican media.
