On 23-24 November, in the context of oriGIn 2021 Biannual Meeting, representatives of GIs groups, policy-makers, international and regional organisations, IP offices, controls bodies, law firms, research centres and universities from all over the world gathered today – in a virtual mode –, to discuss crucial issues for GIs: Sustainability, how to introduce innovation without encroaching on tradition, experience in fighting misleading practices for consumers, international cooperation, the importance of having solid groups and controls systems as well as convergence at the global level on a high standard of protection through multilateral and bilateral agreements.
