At the end of September, IP Key Latin America, a project directed by the European Commission and implemented by the EUIPO, will organize two Regional Conferences on GIs (hybrid format).
On 22-24 September, policymakers and producers from Latin America and the EU will gather in Guadalajara (Mexico) to discuss GIs as an instrument for marketing and socioeconomic development. For more information see: program and registration.
The second event will be held in Antigua (Guatemala) on 26-27 September, to support the implementation of the Central America – EU Association Agreement and allow producers in the region take full benefits from GIs. For more information see: program and registration.
oriGIn and some of its members (Cognac, Café de Colombia, Tequila, Jabugo, Rones de Guatemala, Parmigiano Reggiano, Café de Marcala and Café de Antigua) will deliver presentations on crucial factors for GI success, such as solid groups, controls, robust protection and enforcement as well as sustainability.
