The 2019 oriGIn Biannual Meeting was held in Tbilisi (Georgia), on 23-25 September 2019. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (SAKPATENTI), with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Following the Statutory General Assembly, an international conference on Geographical Indications tackled crucial issues for the GIs sector – such as sustainability, evocation, monitoring foreign markets, controls, cooperation among groups and the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement.
National and international institutions that shape the policy and practice of GIs worldwide participated in the biannual meeting, see the List of participants. Participants had the opportunity to expand their network among key actors in the sector and exchange best practices and insights. oriGIn thanks all participants and partners for such a unique experience!
